A Response to The Internet Asifa

  1. they weren't talking of banning it. they wanted to just want people to make syugim so that it shouldn't be easy to sin. there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. one thing that should be noted, if the baal hatanye ztz"l would have known the amount of preetzus that is unavoidable when going on line, he would have you through the computer out the window. what rabbi freidman is saying is basicaly was what was discussed at the event, not in those exact words. Rabbi Freidman was misinformed about the reason for the event. Though I disagree with one point. a bochur who has a strong yetzer horah doesn't need access to the world wide web, because before they are strong enough in their yidishkeit, they will be consumed by the klippe. As much as a chosid isn't afraid of klippe he doesn't bring it freely into his home. More over typing on a computer isn't osur on shabbos!?! What!?! Get real!!! I don't envy his gehinom one bit for the chilul shabbos that will come from Innocent unlearned people listening to a quote like this from a rabbi with a big beard.

  3. I think computers is far from the issue it's more the smart phones that every one and any one has. Why is money, a pen, etc.muktzah on shabbos? Cause our chachomim made Gedorim if some one is strong and thinks that he can have Internet in his very owne pocket and never become nichshul?!?! Uh uh big mistake if u ever learned gemara. That's besides the Gemara that quotes that if u put your son by a door of peritzus with money in his pocket ....... Al achas Kama v'kama if the pritzus is in your pocket and you have access to it any time any place ?!?!?!?!?!?! Please correct me if I'm wrong, cause this rabbi Is deffinetly more learned then me and I don't understand his shitah. As long as every one wants the good and we stay be'achdus we shal be zoicha to greet moshiach. Have a great day
