Mayday Desperate Escape
On 2 August 2005, Air France Flight 358 overran the runway in a storm
and smashed through the airport fence before plunging into a small
ravine. The causes of the crash were the aircraft starting too high for
its landing, the runway was too short and the crew deployed the thrust
reversers too late. Amazingly, there were no fatalities.
