Jerusalem to get world's biggest Ferris Wheel

The Jerusalem City Council has approved the construction of a Ferris Wheel in Jerusalem that would replace the London Eye as the largest Ferris Wheel in the world. The new wheel is to be built on the grounds of the former train station which has been out of use for many years. It is close enough to the Old City that a view from the top would include a view of Jerusalem's ancient sites. The site will be home to a cultural centre with restaurants and attractions including the big wheel. The City Council hopes, that the giant wheel that will look out over the city will draw visitors from all over the world. A council source explained the wheel would be the largest of its kind in the world even bigger the London Eye built on the River Thames in 2000 which reaches 135 meters tall and can carry up to 800 people at any one time.
