The following is an interview with the one and only DJ Raidz, conducted by...... himself! This way he gets to pick his own questions. That's always nice. Enjoy! Who are you ? Just your average yeshiva guy that makes music on the side. How did you get into music ? My parents got me a piano teacher when I was young but after two years I quit . 5 years later I began to study the guitar and had a great teacher , that got me started in music. When did you start producing ? After I started playing guitar I brought a four track tape recorder ( yes! times have changed ) and moved on with software production . How did you get into jewish music ? I never planned on it .I had other projects at the time that kept me busy .One day I wanted to do something different and I made a remix of a Miami Boys Choir song that my friend heard and he encouraged me to make more songs like that for the jewish world since it would be a change of pace from the typical trumpet and drums (laugh) . What kind of music are you into ? I love all kinds of music and any true artist will say the same thing . Most songs you write are Techno/Trance, how come ? Truth is I write slow songs better but electronic music is more fun and no one is doing it. Do you do events or weddings ? No. Will you in the future ? I have no interest for now , I enjoy producing more. Will the new album be in stores or online only ? For now im releasing it online only. How come ? Its just easier for now and since its a download I can sell it for cheaper. I love Sameach and they have been very helpful to me, I remember meeting Izzy Taubenfeld Al"H for the first time he was very nice and encouraging he made it very enjoyable to work with Sameach and was very impressed with Benny and the whole Sameach staff . I hope to continue working with them. How many people on the Dj Raidz production team ? Just me . Family and friends to criticize my songs . Where does the name Dj Raidz come from ?
