Maybe he said it from the idea that Wednesday is the 1st day of the week. In which case it can be as late as this Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteThere is a whole idea that because Shabbos can hypothetically end on Tuesday night, making Wednesday the 1st day of the following week, which is when one is supposedly permitted to begin wishing another one a Good Shabbos.
