{PINNED} TheCoolJew.com spoke with Eli Gerstner and Avi Schachter to talk about the upcoming release of Menucha 2. We all know that this CD has been pushed off for a long while due to technical issues. Finally, however this album is set to be released next week. Avi Schachter (one of the 3 menucha singers) told TheCoolJew.com that “It's just great to go through such a long creative process and finally see it become something after all that time. It is something amazing.” Avi continued, “It has been a very long wait between the first album and this one. Since last album I got married and had two kids!”. The album which features 10 brand new songs, composed and arranged by Eli Gerstner, (with some arrangements by Yisroel Lamm) is sure to amaze all the Menucha fans. The all new album also holds guest appearances from other Famous EG production stars including a track with Yaakov Mordechai Gerstner & The Yeshiva Boys Choir, one with Dovid Stein, and of course one with Eli Gerstner. Gerstner told TheCoolJew, "In my whole career I never spent this long on any album." Eli explained further that his biggest hits was when the album took longer than expected. Like when he first started YBC and Chevra the process took an exceedingly long time however it became clear that the time was well worth it. "This album has taken over five years of actual work (over 6 years between albums) and I hope people will feel it was worth the wait," Eli says.
